Sound of the Movies is set to take the stage at the Roman Theater Amman as part of the Rose City Nights on September 14th, 2023. The venue promises to provide a stunning backdrop to an evening of nostalgia and grandeur.

An exclusive invitation to journey into Egypt’s leading role in the film industry by celebrating the sound of its movies,  A tribute to Egyptian heritage, paying homage to 125 years of timeless movie hits, brought to life through a grand symphonic re-orchestration and live performances that stay with you longafter you’re gone.

The Sound of Movies is a novel concept launched to celebrate Egypt’s rich heritage of movie songs etched in our collective memory. A one-of-a-kind series of musical performances paying tribute to 125 years of greatest movie hits, re-orchestrated by leading conductors, a full orchestra and a timeless performance by top vocalists. The Sound of Movies will journey with audiences back in time, inviting them to re-discover their musical roots and impressive art while experiencing original shows in historic venues of utmost authenticity.

Accompanied by The Cairo Symphony Orchestra, the orchestra has regularly toured many European countries with great success. The Cairo Symphony Chamber Orchestra includes the best performers who form the artistic core of the orchestra.

Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority and the Jordan Tourism Board in collaboration with Friends of Jordan Festivals are proud to present “Rose City Nights” – a series of cultural and musical performances at Petra Cultural Village.

Organized by Friends of Jordan Festivals, who have conceptualized an engaging calendar for 2023, bringing to Jordan several world class acts, accompanied by prestigious Jordanian and classical musicians, providing an unforgettable experience to an enthralled audience from across the country and region. The intention is to celebrate the sights and sounds of Jordan, packaged as an immersive entertainment experience, while branding Jordan as a world class tourist, cultural and economic destination. Through the planning, design and execution of the projects the aims is  also to support local communities and revive economies by creating job opportunities in event locations and their surrounding areas.

This event is in collaboration with Greater Amman Municipality and Jett, Jordan Radio and Television Corporation, Roya TV and Radio Hala and Mazaj FM as media partners, with Royal Jordanian as the official carrier.
